Orion Music is managed by Beryl Diamond Chacon.
Ms. Diamond is a concert violinist who began her training at the age of 5 and completed her training at The Juilliard School of Music. She began forming chamber ensembles in 1983. At that time she was included in Charles Kuralt's Focus on America series.
Ms. Diamond has focused on the Classical Chamber Music Repertoire for the past twelve years. She has appeared onstage as violin soloist with the Royal Shakespeare Company on Broadway and recorded for Billy Joel, Tony Bennett, Carly Simon and Barry Manilow, amongst many others. She conducted and performed as Concertmistress in London with members of the London Symphony and Royal Philharmonic, for a private performance in Hampton Court for a Royal Wedding with the Queen and Royal Family in attendance. She has also perfomed the music for the nuptuals of Whitney Houston and Lionel Ritchie as well.
Ms. Diamond has performed with her Chamber Orchestra in Lincoln Center's Mid-Summers Night Swing Series, in concert in Avery Fisher Hall with James Earl Jones, Chorus and Full Orchestra, and at the Carnegie Recital Hall in chamber music concerts. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, The Whitney Museum and The Museum of Modern Art contract with Ms. Diamond to provide many varied types of acoustic music, either in Jazz or Classical idioms, for both public and private presentations. In 1994 she formatted and programmed the Guggenheim WorldBeat Jazz Series, a widely acclaimed Jazz Series that continued through January of 2002.
Currently, Ms. Diamond can be seen weekly at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, performing with the Quartet on the Balcony. Begun in 1991, the chamber music performances continue each weekend throughout the year. In the Fall of 2002, The Museum of Modern Art began a twice weekly Chamber Music Series at noon in the new MoMA QNS location.
